Lighted garland and Christmas pics
Just a few pics that didn't fall into any real category... Here is a Pinterest project I made, a lighted garland. Since I have a ton of 20-light strands from my lamp making, I used one to make a garland. You just tie random ribbon and fabric to the strand to make the garland.
It wasn't very planned out, so it lacks a lot of Christmasy colors, so I might try another next year with Christmas ribbon only.

Random projects and Taco Roll Ups
This first one is a craft that me and my friend Marlene found online when trying to find something to do with the thousands of playing cards we have left over at work from the fundraiser we did last year. Hopefully we can make some more projects soon cause we found a lot of them. We made these little gift boxes out of the cards. Now my mom has this box after I used it for one of her Christmas presents.
And my mom went on a shopping spree at Michael's and gave me projects to do: first one was this fall basket.
This was my first project from Pinterest. You get a little (disposable) bowl and fill it with water, then dump a few nail polish colors into it. Swirl them around with a toothpick and dip your fingers in.
It was interesting, but I wouldn't do it again cause it was a big mess. The paint gets all over your skin and took me a day to pick off.
My mom also got a Christmas basket and I made her this holiday arrangement.
And here is my first shot of the tree this year.
These are taco roll ups, also from Pinterest. Spread some refried beans on tortillas...
Top with seasoned ground beef, salsa and Mexican blend cheese.
Roll up and cover tightly with saran wrap. These were pretty good and it made a large amount of them...which means I got sick of eating them pretty quickly.

Mexican Stuffed Shells and Chicken Parmesan
First chop up some green onions...
Pour a base of salsa....
Boil big shells and keep them separated...
Cook beef and add green onions...
I might have added some RoTel too...not sure....
Then stuff the shells and layer them....
Top with more salsa and cheese...
Bake and done. These were really good and reheated well.
Take raw chicken breasts and layer in dish...
Top with marinara sauce....
And mozzarella...
And croutons...
And more mozzarella and Parmesan...
And bake...I really didn't like this that much. I think I'm just really sick of making chicken lately, it all just tastes gross lately. Oh and this recipe was from Pinterest fyi.

Broccoli Chicken Bake and Peanut Butter Striped Delight
For the Broccoli Chicken Bake you mix cheddar cheese and a can of cream of chicken soup.
Add cooked egg noodles, thawed broccoli and cooked pieces of chicken.
Mix them all up and bake...this was okay, definitely not as good reheated. Didn't have much taste to it.
Crushed up Oreo crust...
Cream cheese and whipped topping mixed together.
Layer on top of the Oreos.
Make instant vanilla pudding and add some peanut butter...
Layer that on top...
And top it off with the rest of the whipped topping.
This was really good and everyone went crazy for it at work.

Halloween Trip to Morrison
Here are some of the best pics from my trip to Morrison, IL and surrounding areas that I took right before Halloween.
First up is Raven's Grin in Mt. Carroll. This is the craziest and coolest place ever. It's an actual haunted house that a guy bought and turned into a year round tourist attraction/haunted house/funhouse. It can't really be explained...just know that you HAVE to go there!!
This is the big windmill in Fulton, IL right on the Mississippi River.
This is Main St. in Galena, IL. It's a long winding street filled with tons of random shops and restaurants.

Meatball Calzone Pockets and Halloween project
I made these so long ago I can't remember what they're called, but they kind of resemble calzones, so we'll go with that. First you make a bunch of meatballs and ya bake em...
Roll out some pizza dough, top with pizza sauce, 2 meatballs and provolone.
Wrap them all up into pockets and bake...
And you get these...They were okay, but didn't reheat very well...
And here is a project I found on the cover of a magazine while taking one of my clients to the dentist. So me and Marlene did it for group one day before Halloween. We collected glass jars from pickles, spaghetti sauce, olives, etc. Then you get some orange tissue paper, or we found crepe paper. Tear it into uneven strips the length of the jar. Then take some Mod Podge and mix with some water and decoupage the strips overlapping around the jar. This was fairly messy, so I had the clients hold the top and bottom of the jar turning it while I glued the strips on. I found some Jack O Lantern templates on the internet and we glued those when the strips were dry.
