Projects and fund-raising

My mom wanted some abstract artwork made to hang in her bathroom. She picked out the colors she wanted and bought some canvases. Here is the beginning process of the first canvas. Base painted brown to start...
Here is my broom standing up on that one day awhile back when the moon was aligned with Earth or something...
It stood that way for about 3 hours until I tried to walk past it, then it fell over.
Here are some pics of the gift baskets we made for our NAMI fund-raiser at work. This one was an outdoor kids basket made by my mom.
And here are some green swirls on top of the brown...
This is a boys Easter basket made by me and some of my clients.
This is the girls Easter basket made by me and some of the clients.
This is a mens bath basket made by me and the clients.
A coffee basket made by Kendra.
The Ultimate man basket made by Pat.
A movie basket made by Jane.
A womens bath basket made by Becky.
A camping/beach basket made by me and Marlene.
And a womens beauty basket made by everyone at the group home.
We raised $180 on this raffle and have raised $482 so far. We have one more fund-raiser this week and then the NAMI walk is on May 26th. If you would like to walk with us or donate to our team please follow this link: www.nami.org/namiwalks12/STL/AdaptIL

Spaghetti Parmesan and Mexican Stuffed Peppers

First up is the spaghetti parmesan. Brown some ground beef....
 Cook the noodles....
 Added in some sauce...
 Mix it all up...
Then start layering...spaghetti, parmesan and mozzarella
Layer twice while adding in extra sauce
All done! This was really good and easy to do.
 I got 6 bell peppers...
 Boiled them....
Cooked black beans, frozen corn and green onions with some taco seasoning...
 Ready to be stuffed
 Made some couscous...
Mixing up all the ingredients with some diced tomatoes, mexican cheese and couscous
 Then stuffed
Cover with more cheese and bake!  This was also really good and different from the usual stuffed peppers because there was no meat.
I got both of these recipes on Pinterest. I started a new board named "Done it" to post all the recipes and projects I have completed if you ever want to find any of these recipes.

King Cake and random art projects

Here are the pics of the King Cake I took to work for Mardi Gras.
Mixing up some dough. I used a coffee cake recipe instead of making actual bread.

Dough is all thick and ready to go.

Cinnamon-sugar mix.

Put cinnamon and sugar mix between layers of dough in the bundt pan.

And you can just barely see the baby sticking out towards the back...

All done. It smelled so amazing in my house when this was baking.

Ready to decorate.

Glaze mixture.

The glaze basically ran down the cake and pooled on the bottom. So that was aggrivating.

So without much glaze, the sugar didn't stick very well....

All decorated with beads and black and white baby Jesus's.... It took 2 days for anyone to find the baby inside. Everyone loved it, but the bread was a little thick and chewy for my liking.

My Peter Max picture all done.

One of the first drawings I did this last month.

Starting progress on a new picture...

I haven't done anything past this right now...I'm in the middle of lots of projects at the moment so stay tuned to see if it ever gets finished.

My Peter Max all framed and hung in my room.
