Blizzard and Bridesmaids dress

Here are some pics of what I thought would be our last blizzard of the year..from last month.

This is the one that caused our office to close at noon on Thursday and be totally closed on Friday.

Chocolate Chip Oreo Cookies and Stuffed Bell Peppers

This first recipe is from Pinterest....first you cream the butter and sugars.

Add egg and vanilla...

 Then put all the dry ingredients in another bowl and mix up.

 Mix everything together...

 Then add some chocolate chips and some smashed up Oreos...

 And bake

 These were really good, but the proportions were off and it didn't make very many. It's basically a recipe for chocolate chip cookies and then you also add some Oreos.

 This next recipe was one I cut out of a newspaper.

You cook some rice...

 Brown some meat....

 Heat up some Ro-tel and diced tomatoes...

 Cut some peppers in half...

 Mix everything together...

 And stuff the peppers...with some leftover...

 Top with Cheddar cheese while baking...

 And done. These were pretty bland and didn't have as much flavor as the stuffed peppers I usually make.

Italian shrimp and MaKenna's Birthday

Another Pinterest recipe that almost everyone has tried already...

Melt a stick of butter and pour it on the pan...

Top with slices of lemon...which are really hard to slice evenly fyi...

 Top with the frozen shrimp...

 Sprinkle a packet of Italian seasoning on top and bake for 15 minutes...

 And done!

Moving In...

Here are the pics of what the new apartment looked like right after everyone left from loading me in...needless to say my OCD was going off the charts with random boxes piled everywhere and not being able to even get to my bed....

The living room wasn't too bad.

 The kitchen on the other hand....

 All the leftover plates and cups from eating Roma's...

 Going down the hallway and my suitcase of stuff that I definitely needed to unpack for the next few days...

 And my bedroom! See I couldn't even get to my bed, and I had to dig through those boxes in order to find something to wear to go to Bubby & Sissy's that night...and be able to make my bed to sleep!

 The office....all the boxes were piled in the closet.

Packing and Baked Cheddar Broccoli Rice Cups

Here is the last of the packing process pictures before I moved....

 And here is a recipe from Pinterest that I was really looking forward to...

Make some rice with chicken stock instead of water...

 Stick it in a bowl....

 Add thawed frozen broccoli, cheddar cheese, 2 eggs and salt and pepper....

 Mix it all up like a meatloaf and stick into a muffin pan...

 Top with some more cheddar cheese....

 And bake!

These were soooo goood...I love broccoli/rice mixtures!
